Breeding a dog should never be undertaken lightly. If you have never bred a litter before and are considering breeding, please take a moment to check out the breeding links on our Links page.
Breeding can be heartbreaking and expensive and is a huge responsibility.Knowing this, we are extremely fussy about who we will breed our boys to. Minimum requirements are:
For Siberians:
hips cleared by OVC, PennHIP or OFA
eyes CERF clear within a year previous to the planned breeding
For GSPs:
hips cleared by OFA or PennHIP
eyes CERF cleared within one year prior to the planned breeding
heart OFA cardiac cleared within three years of the planned breeding
All of our stud dogs are available by private treaty only and our stud contract requires that the breeder of the litter (ie the girl's owner) agree to a mandatory take-back clause within their puppy contract and agree to take back any puppy from the litter whose owner cannot keep him/her regardless of the reason or the age of the dog. We very firmly believe in breeders being responsible for any dogs they produce.
